Associate, Mergers & Acquisitions Specialist
Full Job Description:
Smartt, Inc., a holdings company with subsidiaries in the sectors of Technology, Real Estate, Construction, and Import/Export, is seeking an exceptional Mergers & Acquisitions professional who has a track record of leading and closing acquisitions deals. In this position, you will focus primarily to help motivated business owners, who are looking to sell.
You will be an important part of every aspect of the transaction for the sellers, including, but not limited to being a conduit of confidential information, negotiating price and terms of the deal, assisting in contract development, and guiding the entire process for the transfer of ownership. You will spend time pre-qualifying, building rapport, and establishing relationships with potential sellers. You will be responsible for understanding the needs of business owners selling a business, to ensure a proper match to our acquisitions criteria.
We will require a high level of integrity to protect confidential information, help negotiate price/terms, and ensure each deal reaches the closing table. You will be playing pivotal role post acquisition as well.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in a Business-related field
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in due diligence, feasibility studies, Compliances, and Investment Banking
- Knowledge with strategic M& A would be huge advantage
Skills:
- Highly competitive, trustworthy and honest, with personal integrity
- Seasoned, ambitious, and self-motivated

Successful candidates for these Mergers & Acquisitions positions will have excellent academic credentials and one to three years of experience handling private equity and/or mergers and acquisitions work, preferably at a national law firm.
